Drottkvaett (Old Norse = court poem)

Eight lines with 6 syllables each (3 stressed, 3 unstressed)

Each line ends with a stressed syllable followed by an unstressed syllable

Every 2 lines linked by alliterations which must occur twice in the first line and in the opening syllables of the second.
