Synopsis

After nearly drowning at age five, Danielle Biddle’s fear of water makes her an outcast in her sail-or-fail family. Fed up with being forced to sail, fifteen year old Dani fights for the right to stay on shore. in a deal with her dad that puts her beloved piano on the line, Dani hits the water with her brother one last time. Aching from a night of beer-fueled floundering, spinning from rejections and confusion, Dani is unprepared when disaster hits. The final race spirals out of control, her brother is knocked overboard, and Dani is left with a life or death situation. Diving deep, she faces her fears, and surfaces singing a new song.
